The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary's motto
is "Helping Knights Help Others".
We participate in the Knights' programs--notable
the M. R. (Tootsie Roll) drive, which raises money for mentally
and physically challenged persons in our area and the state of Missouri,
the Contest of Concern, which helps fund the Special Olympics, and
the Roses for Life program.
We also host our own money-raising events to
raise funds for charities of our choice. This year we sponsored
a booth at the Strassenfest, a Night at the Races, a Chili Supper,
and a Pancake Dinner.
We socialize together after every meeting, and
go out to dinner twice a year--for a Fat Tuesday dinner, and at
the end of the year to celebrate our achievements. We also participate
jointly with the Knights at an Installation of Officers in the summer,
which is followed by a dinner, and a yearly Christmas dinner at
which time they donate their Tootsie Roll funds.
Membership is open to wives or daughters of
Knights over the age of 18, widows of Knights, and all female members
of religious orders. If you are interested in more information,
